We haven’t even gone to Italy yet and I am already smitten by gelato. I have had it a few times and have always enjoyed it, but when we saw a new shop opening downtown, I knew it would be my downfall.

We stopped by today (our second trip), met the owner (a man who lived in Italy for 25 years and offered to plan our itinerary with us), and had a fabluous after lunch treat. We had what I think is called an “Affogato” gelato with 2 shots of espresso poured over it. It was fabulous!
